Thorn); the role and activities of the National Advisory Committee on Library Services for People with Disabilities (Senator G. Davidson); the implications of the National Union Catalogue of Library Materials for the Handicapped (NUC:H) (C. Law); the role of state and public libraries in meeting the information needs of handicapped people (K. Horn); the implications of the Copyright Act on the production of special format materials for the handicapped (P. Banki); the concerns of publishers regarding copying for the use of the handicapped (C. Makepeace); the potential of computer and data communications technology in information services for the handicapped (I. MacLeod); and the use of the Kurzweil Reading Machine for the visually impaired, as presented from three different viewpoints (M. Fialides, C. McKenzie, and B. Hewitt). The seven group discussion reports relate to interlibrary loans, standards for braille, standards for audio materials, standards for library service to the handicapped, promotion of library services to the handicapped, copyright considerations, and the information needs of the perceptually and mentally handicapped.
