Area Studies Athletics Bibliographies Foreign Countries Humanities Indexes Languages Library Science Natural Sciences Newspapers Recreation Religion Resource Materials Social Sciences Technology Formerly published as an irregular feature of New Zealand Libraries, these three annual bibliographies (1980, 1981, 1982) list bibliographical work in progress, as well as enumerative and subject bibliographies published in New Zealand from July 1977 to June 1982. It is noted that bibliographical work in progress is compiled from an annual questionnaire sent to New Zealand bibliographers and librarians, and that the list of bibliographies published is taken from, among other sources, the New Zealand National Bibliography and the Index to New Zealand Periodicals. A total of 970 bibliographic items are cited, under a maximum of 12 subject areas: (1) general bibliographies, special classes of material, and librarianship; (2) philosophy and religion; (3) social sciences; (4) biological and medical sciences; (5) physical and earth sciences; (6) agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; (7) engineering, domestic, and applied sciences; (8) the arts; (9) recreation and sport; (10) language and literature; (11) geography, history, and area studies; and (12) personal bibliography. Scope and progress notes are given for work in progress items. Each publication has an author index, and the 1981 edition also includes lists of newspaper indexes, and 80 working index and clippings files in New Zealand libraries. A subject index to these working files is provided. (ESR) |
