I. Lenin State Library [LSL] or the USSR in Developing the Uniform Library System in the USSR" by N. S. Kartashov, which outlines the Soviet library system and describes LSL involvement in centralized acquisition and cataloging and its impact on the information and bibliographical activities of the Soviet libraries.
