And Others Academic Libraries Community Colleges Data Analysis Higher Education Library Personnel Library Surveys Questionnaires Salaries State Universities This 1983 salary survey by the State University of New York (SUNY) Librarians Association includes data on SUNY state-operated, statutory, and community college libraries. A survey mailed to library directors asked for salary and personnel information on all full-time, part-time, and temporary library staff including librarians, non-librarian professional staff, paraprofessionals, and directors. While the study has been conducted biennially since the early 1970s, this is the first to include a questionnaire on staffing changes. Tables, divided into two sections by type of library, present data from 28 out of 30 state-operated campuses and 26 out of 30 community colleges. Because only one of the five statutory colleges responded, salary information has been excluded so no individual salaries can be identified. Although part-time employees are not included in the tables, a summary report is included in both the state-operated and community college sections. A summary of responses to the staffing changes questionnaire completes the report. Copies of the SUNY Salary Survey and Staffing Changes Questionnaires are included. (THC) |
