"Report on Data Entry Alternatives" discusses the various data entry options available to SPINDEX users, including the CPT 4200 with visual memory, magcard typewriters, Wang word processors, and a text editor on the Univac 1100/82. "Approaches to Archival Indexing, A Discussion Document" includes background on subject access systems, existing systems, the nature of the Midwest State Archives holdings, the state of information retrieval, the needs and resources of archives, and multi-institutional access. The final report, "Subject Terms Used in the Illinois State Archives and in the Wisconsin State Archives," contains lists of terms used for subject access in each of the two states and the Wisconsin Subject Authority List; the authority list provides cross references.
