Attention is directed to: institutional purpose, academic programs, students and student services, faculty resources, library resources, financial resources, plant and equipment resources, organization and administration, community resources and services, and planning and the future. One purpose of the self-study is to document that the institution satisfies criteria for initial accreditation. College-developed assessment tools were used, including a library survey, a cost effectiveness study, an attitude and opinion survey, a senior survey, and a freshman enrollment questionnaire. Included are a brief description of the accreditation history of the college, along with concerns of the accrediting agency evaluation team, and recommendations. Also covered are the following: the structure of curricular programs and requirements of degree programs, and program evaluation approaches; characteristics and activities of the faculty and an appraisal of faculty effectiveness; student characteristics, enrollment and retention, student financial aid, student development, and alumni services; and audiovisual services.
