Chapter I focuses on academic affairs, providing an evaluation and review of academic programs; an examination of program and curriculum development activities; an analysis of curriculum/program development in terms of financial resources; and an overview of enrollment trends. In chapter II, programs and activities to enhance recruitment and retention of minority and nontraditional students are described, including general and developmental studies programs, developmental English and mathematics programs, the tutorial assistance program, academic advising system, counseling programs, and special student retention activities. Chapter III focuses on STCC's involvement with the community, covering the public school curriculum review project, community services, affirmative action, admission/public relations, and the Center for Business/Industry Development. Chapter IV provides information on campus facilities and services, including library and student services, physical facilities, and the management information system. Finally, chapter V reviews the college's shared governance/campus self-study and presents the president's response to the policy recommendations of the Task Force on Excellence. (AYC)
