Addressed in the individual units of the curriculum are the following topics: components and use of the TRS-80; self-assessment; reading (job clusters); language arts (business letters and applications for secretarial and teacher's aide positions); employability skills and the value of education; mathematical operations; money and work (business math, checking accounts and check registers, proper money management, personal budgets); reasons for drug use and the drug scene; resume writing; library skills; community service and jobs; computation of mathematical averages; fractions; problem-solving skills, and job responsibility and goal setting. Each of these units contains some or all of the following: behavioral objectives, a list of resources needed, student evaluation criteria, instructional text, one or more learning activities or quizzes, sample computer programs, and answers to the activities provided. The guide also includes a pretest, posttest, and list of references. (MN)
