Included among the data appearing for the first time in the document are the following: the total number of participants in the educational process, average number of Carnegie units earned by recent high school graduates, course requirements for high school graduation, expenditure per pupil in public schools, full-time instructional staff in institutions of higher education, earned degrees conferred by discipline, packages of student financial aid, Department of Education outlays, and the number of elementary and secondary schools using microcomputers.
