For each consortium, information is provided on: major activities, governance, operating budget, funding, member institutions, the names and titles of consortium staff, and the consortium's address and phone number. In addition to a list of the 133 consortia, a list of consortium directors and a topic index are provided. Areas of cooperation among the consortia members include: joint academic courses/programs, library cooperation (including interlibrary loans), cross-registration/student exchange, joint centers, joint degrees, joint faculty and faculty exchange, joint purchasing, professional development, academic counseling, adult learners, articulation, business-industry relationships, computing (including planning and research), continuing education, curriculum development, government liaison, graduate education, international programs, medical/health education, public relations, publications, recruitment, school-college relationships, seminars/workshops/conferences, and telecommunications.
