San Antonio College Library (Walnut, California) has been compiled. It has five sections: (1) general history (works reflecting the contributions of women as historians as well as portraying their roles in the history of the United States from the early colonial days to the present); (2) the West (works concerned with the visions of new lives of ordinary men and women who left the eastern cities to build their homes in the wilderness); (3) collected biographies of women both famous and obscure, which illustrate the general trends and directions of women's lives during particular eras in our history; (4) suffrage and feminism (works on the history of the feminist movement from the early suffragettes to the view of equal rights that is still pursued today); (5) work and employment (selections illustrating women's effect on the work force and the economy of the country and employment's effect on the women and their families.)
