Many of these databases are online equivalents of well-known printed indexes and abstracts, such as ERIC and Dissertation Abstracts; others, like Robotics Information Database and ABI/INFORM, are accessible only online. This brochure covers the advantages of online searches, explains how to submit a search request, and provides a sample DIALOG printout. The 89 most frequently used databases are listed according to subject category and briefly described. An alphabetical listing of these databases is provided in the index. (KM)
