Costs Developmental Programs Early Childhood Education Educational Equipment Educational Objectives Guidelines Infants Learning Centers (Classroom) Program Development Toddlers Toys Compiled are three related sets of materials: (1) a discussion of the foundations of a developmental early childhood program for children between 2 1/2 and 6 years of age; (2) guidelines for planning activity areas and providing equipment for children in the early childhood program; and (3) an inventory with approximate prices of equipment and toys appropriate for infant/toddler programs. The first set of materials states program requirements and then outlines components of a developmental program, discusses the goal and operation of such a program, and explores problems commonly encountered in program implementation. The second set provides suggestions for block, dramatic play, sensory play, art, construction, library, manipulative, music, and gross motor areas, and for equipment intended for use throughout the center.
