Achievement Tests Diagnostic Tests Equivalency Tests Indexes Item Banks Library Catalogs Licensing Examinations (Professions) Reading Tests Screening Tests Tests Work Sample Tests The Test Collection, Educational Testing Service, is an extensive library of over 14,000 tests and other measurement devices. The Test Collection acquires and disseminates information on hard-to-locate research instruments as well as on commercially available standardized tests. Drawn from the Test Collection's computer-retrievable database, this catalog describes tests in the following categories: achievement, equivalency, certification, screening, diagnosis, school readiness, reading readiness, and item banks. The tests cover all age and grade levels. They are cited by main entry, subject index, author index, and title index. In the main entry section the following information is presented for each test: title, author, availability source, age or grade level, descriptors and/or identifiers (subject, indexing terms), and an abstract. Other information which is provided when available includes publication or copyright date, subtests, the number of test items, and the time required for an individual to complete the test. At the time of compilation, all the tests listed were still available from the test distributors indicated in the availability source. (JAZ)
