The guide is arranged by type of publication, rather than by subject, and entries within each category type are typically listed in reverse chronological order. A list of abbreviations and acronyms, an introduction to the guide, and a background discussion of telecommunications are followed by sections on six types of publications: (1) U.S. Congress (House of Representatives and Senate); (2) Presidential Messages; (3) Federal Agencies (Federal Communications Commission, General Accounting Office, General Services Administration, Library of Congress, Office of Technology Assessment, United States Department of Commerce, and National Telecommunications Information Administration); (4) Directory Sources (Federal Government Databases and Nongovernment Agencies); (5) Reference Sources (Government Printing Office and U.S. Code); and (6) Other Sources (Government Telecommunications Periodicals, Federal Depository Libraries, and Works Consulted).
