The following topics are covered in the individual units: related vocational information (abbreviations); related vocational skills (job search, job application forms, and job interviews); personal development (literature and attitudes); writing skills (subject/verb agreement, complements, commas, paragraphs, and composition); parts of speech (adjectives and adverbs); library skills; practical usage (usage, roots, and prefixes and suffixes); and life skills (writing a business letter, addressing envelopes, using the telephone, using a newspaper, and banking). The manual includes 8 sections and 22 instructional units. Each unit contains performance objectives, suggested activities for the teacher, information sheets, assignment sheets, job sheets, transparency masters, tests, and answers to the tests and assignment sheets. Depending on the specific objectives of a given unit, it may or may not include transparency masters, assignment sheets, and job sheets. (MN)
