Representative examples of library faculty by-laws are provided from the University of Minnesota, the University of Cincinnati, Michigan State University, and Purdue University. Committee reports on the status of librarians include: (1) "Faculty Status for Professional Librarians" (University of Connecticut); (2) "Ranking Structure for Duke University Librarians" and "Committee on Appointment and Promotion" (Duke University); and (3) "Report of the Committee on Performance Evaluation, Promotion, and Tenure" (University of Florida).
