- School Library Resources Program. E.C.I.A. Chapter 2. Final Evaluation Report. Harris, Marie Educational Television Elementary Secondary Education Film Libraries Instructional Films Learning Resources Centers Library Services Program Evaluation Program Implementation Questionnaires School Districts School Libraries Videotape Recordings This report summarizes the activities of the Education Consolidation Improvement Act (ECIA) Chapter 2 1985-86 School Library Resources Program, which was designed to provide direct support to District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) in their efforts to develop and maintain high-quality library and media resources as an adjunct to their instructional programs. The project background is briefly discussed, and the evaluation procedure, which followed the Planning, Monitoring, and Implementing (PMI) Evaluation Model for Decision-Making developed by the Division of Quality Assurance, DCPS, is described. A discussion of the evaluation results indicates that the program met its two objectives: (1) to implement a videotape instructional television library service in at least 80% of the DCP secondary school library media centers by June 1986; and (2) to plan and initiate the implementation of a videotape instructional television library service in DCP elementary school library media centers by June 1986. The following materials are appended: (1) Evaluation Model Schema; (2) Summary of School Library-Media Specialist Evaluation Questionnaire Results; (3) Summary of Teacher Evaluation Questionnaire Results; (4) Summary of Student Evaluation Questionnaire Results; (5) Instructional Tips--Video System for Elementary Library Centers; (6) Memoranda to Library Media Specialist--Data Collection Procedures; and (7) Feedback--Documentary Information on Program Activities 1985-86.
