contents State University of New York Librarians Association Salary Survey. Data as of November 1985. Loe, Mary H. Wells, Margaret Academic Libraries Community Colleges Data Analysis Higher Education Library Personnel Library Statistics Library Surveys Questionnaires Salaries State Universities This biennial salary survey by the State University of New York (SUNY) Librarians Association includes data on SUNY state-operated, statutory, and community college libraries. A survey mailed to library directors asked for salary and personnel information on all library staff including librarians, non-librarian professional staff, paraprofessionals, and directors. In addition, a separate questionnaire solicited information on staff reduction and turnover rates, entry-level salaries, and part-time/adjunct staff. Tables, divided into three sections by type of library, present data from 29 of the 30 state-operated campuses, 28 out of 30 community colleges, and 3 out of 5 statutory colleges; a fourth section includes an overall profile of SUNY librarian salaries. Although part-time employees are not included in the tables, a summary report is included in both the state-operated and community college sections. A summary of responses to the staffing changes questionnaire completes the report. Copies of the SUNY Salary Survey and Staffing Changes Questionnaires are included. (KM)
