It includes references to screening for: inborn errors of metabolism, such as phenylketonuria and galactosemia; hemoglobinopathies, particularly sickle cell disease; congenital hypothyroidism and congenital adrenal hyperplasia; cystic fibrosis; and muscular dystrophy.
