The four units and self-paced assignments provided cover the following: (1) library facilities and services (self-guided library tour, locating and checking out materials); (2) basic search strategies (search strategies for books and media, using the card catalog effectively, and encyclopedias); (3) periodical literature (periodical indexes and abstracts, newspapers and newspaper indexes); and (4) critical thinking (evaluating sources and research strategies). A glossary and an index are provided, and the assignments that accompany the workbook are attached. (CGD) |
