The guide then provides an annotated listing of materials in nine categories: (1) abstracts and indexes; (2) bibliographies (both general and specialized); (3) dictionaries; (4) directories; (5) encyclopedias; (6) guides; (7) statistical sources; (8) government documents; and (9) style manuals.
