This report covers the goals and objectives of the program, which are based on four key functions of design, consultation, information, and administration; program effectiveness; professional growth; reading, knowledge, and appreciation of literature; innovative programs; community and district services; and public relations. Also included in the packet are a brief fact sheet on the program; a statement of the media center philosophy; a chart showing the organization of the media program; an outline of the goals and objectives of an integrated, comprehensive library media program; a list of guidelines for establishing a media program; an outline of basic media goals and objectives for grades K-4; a booklet of materials describing the program, which includes a list of media activities for students; media activity sheets for grades 2-4; a list of audiovisual materials; individualized prescription forms; media center schedules; outlines of computer literacy programs for grade 4 and for staff, together with a computer log form and a schedule; and a questionnaire for students to use in evaluating the library media center and its program.
