Federal Aid Library Expenditures Library Extension Library Networks Library Services Program Evaluation Public Libraries State Aid State Libraries This report summarizes the activities and results of library programs in Texas that received financial support in FY 1987 through the State Library's Statewide Library Development program, which included funds from both the state's general revenues and the Library Services and Construction Act (LSCA). Individual TItle I programs described include: (1) Project 1: Public Library Establishment; (2) Project 2: Areas with Inadequate Services (Public Library Reorganization, Regional Public Library Services, Interlibrary Loan and Reference Referral Network, Texas Reading Club, Statewide Video Project, Interlibrary Loan Referral Center Bibliographic Network, Continuing Education; (3) Project 3: Services to the Disadvantaged (Regional Public Library Systems, Public Library Services for Disadvantaged Populations); (4) Project 4: Library Services for the Blind and Other Physically Handicapped Persons; (5) Project 5: Centralized Acquisitions for State Institutions; (6) Project 7: Major Urban Resource Libraries; (7) Project 9: Services to Limited English-Speaking (Regional Public Library Systems, Public Library Services for Disadvantaged Populations); (8) Project 10: Services to the Elderly (Public Library Services for Disadvantaged Populations); (9) Project 11: Literacy Programs (Regional Public Library Systems, Public Library Services for Disadvantaged Populations); and (10) Project 13: Administrative Expenses for LSCA. Also included are reports on Title II, Project 1: Public Library Construction (Status Report); Title III, Project 1: Demonstrations of Interlibrary Loan; and Title III, Project 3: Establishing, Expanding, and Operating Library Networks (Demonstrations of Interlibrary Cooperation, Interlibrary Loan and Reference Referral Network, Texas Union List of Serials).
