The services examined include acquisitions, cataloging, interlibrary loan, and reference. To examine costs, the format of the monthly WLN invoice was used to compare the three networks at approximate activity levels for the coming fiscal year. Both the costs and the advantages and disadvantages of using each of the three utilities, or some combination of the three, for the University of Idaho Library are presented, and equipment, maintenance, and start-up costs are projected. The text is supplemented by a number of tables. (EW) |
