Blindness Children Federal Aid Library Automation Library Cooperation Library Planning Library Services Physical Disabilities Public Libraries Public Relations State Aid State Libraries Designed to provide an overview of the range and quality of services provided by the Alabama Public Library Service (APLS), this annual report focuses on the 1987 activities of APLS. A report on the activities of the Library Development Division shows the allocation of state aid and Library Services and Construction Act (LCSA) Titles I and III funds to public library systems, and a narrative report on children's services. Overviews also highlight a summary of finances for Fiscal Year 1987 and for an average of five fiscal years (FY 1983-FY 1987), as well as the activities of: (1) Agency Support Services; (2) Library Operations; (3) the Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped; and (4) continuing education programs for public, school, and academic libraries, and for the Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
