This kit contains documents from 13 libraries: University of California at Los Angeles and Riverside; Universities of Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina at Chapel Hill, State of New York at Buffalo, Texas, and Toronto; and the Research Libraries Group. The documents include: (1) memoranda informing and instructing faculty and librarians; (2) tables, graphs, and spreadsheets to provide a statistical and visual perspective; (3) reports to administrators explaining the situation within a local and national context; (4) internal operating policies, procedures, timetables, and forms; (5) progress reports to administrators, faculty, and librarians; and (6) newsletters and press releases. Also included in the kit are a two-page management flyer; the May 1988 SPEC call for documents; and a selected reading list of four items. (CGD)
