The questionnaire (circulated to all member institutions of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada) included queries about the experiences of the universities with communications and information technologies, and about the use of computer technology as a research tool in libraries and for distance education. The first section reports on use of the established technologies of film, television, videotape, radio, and audiotape. The second section explores the uses of computer technologies for instruction, research, networking, and conferencing. Comments on potential changes in higher education resulting from new technologies are discussed in the final section. The research questionnaire and list of responding colleges are provided. (DB)
