The second section focuses on resources--e.g., tutor training, Laubach literacy action in Texas, and funding resources. In addition to discussing literacy student recruitment, the third section addresses some differences between adults and children as learners and publicity for literacy programs. Volunteers and volunteer training are discussed in the fourth section, and creating a literacy council is described in the fifth. National literacy methodologies are explained in the sixth section. The final section covers material selection policies, presents bibliographies and lists oriented toward helping librarians plan literacy programs, and provides additional information of interest to tutors and volunteers.
