Each library profile within the directory is arranged alphabetically by country and has information grouped under six headings: (1) name and address; (2) description, including number of volumes and journals, other significant materials, major collection strengths, library hours, year established, and number of library branches; (3) borrowing privileges, including how to obtain a library card and length of time books may be borrowed; (4) organization of information, including card catalogs, classification systems, and stack access; (5) library facilities and services, including research rooms, photocopiers, typewriters, online searching, library brochures, reference help, and library tours; and (6) student comments. If no information was available for a category, that category has been omitted. Information for this directory was obtained from student and librarian questionnaires and up-to-date library leaflets and brochures. (MAB) |
