contents Automation of Oklahoma School Library Media Centers: Directory of Computer Applications. Estes-Rickner, Bettie, Ed. Computer Software Elementary Secondary Education Learning Resources Centers Library Administration Library Automation Library Networks Media Specialists Microcomputers Online Systems School Libraries This directory is designed to allow media specialists in regional areas of Oklahoma to share their experiences in computer applications for libraries. The first of two sections lists schools using computers for circulation, computerized catalogs, library management, CD-ROM, laser disk programs, and online information systems. Schools are listed according to the 11 automation regions that correspond to the Oklahoma Telecommunications Interlibrary System, and within that listing, under the category of computer use. The name of the software used is listed for each school and, if there is more than one version of the software, the hardware being used. Complete addresses, phone numbers, and building-level contacts for each of the schools are provided in the second section. It is noted that the sharing of information on the use of computers in libraries will provide state decision-makers with valuable input. (DB)
