Gleaves). Recommendations adopted by the 112 delegates to the conference are then presented. These recommendations focus on local, state, and federal support of libraries; state and national planning; intellectual freedom; eradication of illiteracy; and support for the National Research Education Network (NREN), with increased participation by libraries of all types. The official delegates chosen to represent Tennessee at the 1991 White House Conference on Library and Information Services (WHCLIS) are listed, as are the Governor's Conference delegates. The report concludes with three pages of photographs taken at the conference. (MAB) |
