It is composed of seven sections that include information about enrollment, student characteristics, academic programs, budget, state appropriations, student finance, faculty and staff, the library, and the physical plant and other property. Among the highlights are the following: (1) during the past 15 years, enrollment at SIUC has been above 20,000 students; (2) there are 195 degree programs offered, including specialist degrees, first professional, associate, bachelors, masters, and doctoral; (3) from 1985 to the present, federal, state, and institutional sources of funds for student financial aid have steadily increased from $55 million to $82.8 million, or a 33.5% increase; (4) the composition of the faculty and professional staff, including the School of Medicine, was 61% male and 39% female, with part-time and full-time staff being divided roughly 50/50; (5) current fund revenues totalled $284 million with a decrease of 2% compared to FY 1989 while current fund expenditures totalled about $285 million representing an 11% increase; and (6) the number of owned acres and value of those acres increased from FY 1989 with 2,500 additional acres and $8,952 in additional value.
