These recommendations will be incorporated into the 1989-1992 Long-Range Plan to begin the process of implementation for as many of them as possible. In order to facilitate future planning and implementation, the recommendations are grouped by categories of action: (1) To be done now; (2) To be done soon; (3) To be studied; (4) Support the concept and overall goal; (4) Must resolve funding issues, will need further study before decision is made; and (5) Must resolve funding issues, but intend to do soon. The entry for each recommendation includes comments on the current status of and factors involved in implementation and a code letter indicating the subcommittee that made the recommendation, i.e., academic (A), public (P), special (S), or school (SC) libraries.
