This system was developed to preserve, organize, and facilitate access to Syracuse University's extensive English-language research collection of original resources on adult education, including manuscripts and archival documents, photographs, audiotapes, slides, and films. The report includes discussions of the issues faced during the design phase, a description of the system itself and its hardware and software, an outline of the project's solution to the problem of finding images of interest among the many images stored, and a description of the move to MacKLARS, a HyperCard adaptation of the KLARS system. The report concludes with a summary of the problems, contributions, and suggestions for those attempting to do something similar. (14 references) (Author/MAB)
