The bibliography's objectives are as follows: to identify current trends with regard to AV methods in library orientation and bibliographic instruction; to isolate instances of academic library usage of audiovisual media in reference work; and to examine the criteria used by academic librarians choosing AV methods of instruction, and the strengths of those formats which were most commonly used. The bibliography is divided into the following sections: (1) Bibliographies; (2) Trends in the Use of AV Materials for Library Instruction; (3) Planning and Development for AV in Library Instruction; (4) The Use of AV Materials for Library Orientation; (5) Slides, Slide/Tape, and Point-of-Use Instruction Programs; and (6) Using Videotape for Library Instruction. A title index is provided. (MAB)
