contents Directory and Statistics of Oregon Libraries 1991. Scheppke, Jim, Comp. And Others. Academic Libraries Annual Reports Higher Education Interlibrary Loans Library Circulation Library Expenditures Library Materials Library Personnel Library Services Library Statistics Public Libraries Special Libraries State Surveys Tables (Data) This directory and statistical information report provides data on 217 public libraries in Oregon, 64 academic libraries, and 172 special libraries within the state, as well as information on the Oregon State Library profiling each library within its appropriate type. Each of the four sections provides directory information (e..g, the library's address, telephone number, contact librarian, and, if appropriate, the fax number) and statistical tables that present data on library services, interlibrary lending, library collections, operating income, expenditures, service hours, attendance, use of volunteers, staffing, programming, and staff salaries. A series of charts and maps indicate the governance of public libraries by county and present an analysis of the public library statistics. This analysis includes the long- and short-term statistical trends of public libraries, sources of Oregon public library operating income in 1990-91, and the "top 20" ranking of public library performance in 1990-91. Special library directory entries also include the library hours and a statement as to whether the library is open to the public or accessible only by appointment, and the Oregon State Library section includes the names, addresses, and dates of term expirations of the state library's board of trustees and state advisory council representatives, as well as a list of Oregon's depository libraries.
