The document consists of two parts. The first part identifies the broad goals and terminal objectives arranged in the following sequence: (1) generation and communication of knowledge in education; (2) intellectual access; (3) bibliographic representation of information sources; (4) physical access and evaluation; and (5) collaborative roles of teachers and school library media specialists. A glossary and references are included in Part I. Part II contains examples of applications of some of the goals and objectives contained in Part I. These applications provide specific behavioral objectives and activities from which to plan instructional sessions for an undergraduate social studies methods course and a graduate research methods course. Use of the ERIC bibliographic database plays a prominent role in part II. (KRN) |
