The centerpiece of the publication is a description of microfilming projects reported by national libraries in 30 countries: Algeria, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Taiwan, Tunisia, and Venezuela. The description is based on a questionnaire that solicited information on microfilm masters, the existence of a central source of information about the masters, and the predominant nature of bibliographic control for microform masters.
