Information is compiled from questionnaires completed by each library and other directory information sources. Data elements are based on those used in the Federal State Cooperative System for Public Library Data, a national system designed to insure comparability of data between the states. Information is provided on collections and services, income and expenditures, staffing, and interlibrary loans. The section on the Oregon State Library includes information on state and federal depository libraries. Twenty-one tables present statistics about Oregon libraries, and 13 figures illustrate the state system. (SLD)
