Various portfolios techniques are reviewed in the following articles: (1) "Taking Assessment Matters into Our Own Hands" (Laura Grosvenor); (2) "The Manhattan Assessment Project" (Lisa Bietau, Barbara Maughmer, and Joyce Crill); (3) "Schoolwide Portfolios" (Donald Daws); (4) "Literacy Portfolios in the Early Childhood Classrooms" (Cheryl Polakowski); (5) "A Jump Ahead: Living with the KERA (Kentucky Educational Reform Act) Portfolio Assessment" (Virginia Biles); and (6) "Assessing a Teleproductions Course" (Terry Kekic). Each section contains space to record teacher reflections on the chapter, and there are 22 reproducibles for use in portfolio construction and management. A glossary is included.
