Chapters discuss the following topics: (1) what professional associations are and why they are necessary; (2) the role and function of library, information science, and archive professional associations; (3) organizational structure; (4) governance; (5) operation; (6) programs and services; (7) policies, planning, and procedures; and (8) finance.
