The information about each library includes address, telephone number, hours of operation, book collection, special collections, assistive devices, special services, and publications. Other library resources at the national level are listed in the second part of the directory, arranged alphabetically by the name of the organization. Each entry indicates eligibility requirements, special media available, subject coverage, and lending policies, which may vary from one organization to another. Two appendices give NLS network library statistics for FY 1992 (October-September) on readership and circulation divided by medium, including recorded disc, braille, and recorded cassette; and on budget, staff, and collections.
