The survey was sent to 68 ARL libraries that have established preservation departments under the management of a preservation administrator. Of the 38 respondents, 76 percent utilize document management systems. The survey instrument and the results are included. The following related documents from several ARL libraries are also included: preservation management information systems and fiscal management statistics from four libraries; production statistics from eight libraries; commercial library binding documents from three libraries; replacement and reformatting documents from eight libraries; condition surveys and needs assessment from four libraries; and an environmental monitoring system from one library.
