This report includes the following information: average price paid for books in 1992; per capita expenditure for New Jersey public libraries by counties; and salary budgeted by New Jersey public libraries in 1993 for full-time professional certified librarians. Summary tables show the number and percentage of population served by public libraries; libraries according to size of population served; libraries according to total expenditures; and libraries according to type and total expenditures. Also included are statistics of libraries by county; state summary of public library statistics by counties; state summary of public library statistics by regions; and New Jersey population not served by public libraries, by county and municipality (1990 census population).
