Librarians Library Circulation Library Expenditures Library Statistics Public Libraries Salaries State Libraries The State Library of New Jersey annually compiles statewide statistics from annual reports submitted by public libraries in the state in order to help libraries analyze and improve programs and services. This report includes the following information: average price paid for books in 1992; per capita expenditure for New Jersey public libraries by counties; and salary budgeted by New Jersey public libraries in 1993 for full-time professional certified librarians. Summary tables show the number and percentage of population served by public libraries; libraries according to size of population served; libraries according to total expenditures; and libraries according to type and total expenditures. Also included are statistics of libraries by county; state summary of public library statistics by counties; state summary of public library statistics by regions; and New Jersey population not served by public libraries, by county and municipality (1990 census population).
