Section I provides background information on two-year colleges in Texas, including a history of Blinn College and a list and map of the Texas public community/junior college districts. General information about BC is provided in section II, including charts showing the organization of the college by function and personnel and library holdings, circulation, and usage statistics. Section III provides enrollment data, including: (1) fall and spring enrollment growth, 1982-1994; (2) 1993 fall enrollments of BC and comparable college districts; (3) 1993 fall headcount enrollments; (4) BC fall enrollment, 1983-1993; (5) 1991-94 enrollment summaries by campus for fall, spring, and summer sessions; (6) student full-time equivalencies (FTE's), 1987-94; (7) fall 1993 credit hours and FTE's for Texas public community/junior colleges; (8) contact hours fall 1989-93 semesters; (9) distribution of student headcount, credit hours, and contact hours; (10) credit and contact hours by division, 1990-94; (11) duplicated enrollment by division, 1991-94; (12) developmental education contact hours and class enrollment; (13) average class size by discipline and campus; and (14) student course load, 1993. Section IV contains student data, including longitudinal student profiles, 1991-94; and information on course load; full-/part-time status; age; gender; ethnicity; legal residency; residence hall students; final grade distribution; associate degrees awarded; degrees awarded by level; follow-up of BC students, graduates, and leavers; student transfer and retention activity. Faculty data are presented in part V, including information on average teaching loads, staffing by campus, utilization of part-time instructors, general academic and vocational-technical faculty, and credit hours related to salaries and travel expenses.
