Chapters cover: (1) books; (2) guides to the literature; (3) directories; (4) encyclopedic sources; (5) bibliographies; (6) periodical indexes, abstracts, and databases; (7) newspaper indexes, abstracts, and databases; (8) American Indian periodicals, newspapers, and newsletters; (9) biographical sources; (10) dissertations and theses; (11) government publications and archival material; and (12) microform collections. Most materials were published in the United States between 1970 and 1993, and subject content ranges from ancient times to contemporary life and culture. The 385 entries include author, title, publisher, publication date, number of pages, price, Library of Congress number, ISBN or ISSN number, and annotation. A listing of Library of Congress Subject Headings, an author/title index, and a subject index are included. (LP) |
