Teachers and librarians are embracing information technology (IT) to meet children's educational and socio-cultural needs. Their relationship with other information providers, especially public libraries, is becoming more significant. Children's school experiences are directly influencing the impact of IT on their parents, and hence on society at large. There has been rapid development in technology to facilitate learning by providing computers and other technology. The Internet and CD-ROMs are among the information sources used by librarians, and it is important that these resources be utilized effectively. (Contains 80 references.) (AEF)
