This book for children and teenagers discusses what it means to be biracial or biethnic and what it means to find one's own identity. The best advice from other biracial teens is to be yourself and to make your own unique contribution to the world. The biracial child does not have to please everyone, as he or she realizes on the way to a stage of adjustment in which integration and wholeness are experienced. The teenager becomes secure in his or her own identity. The biracial family faces difficulties just as the child does. Parents need to have a clear understanding about racism and how it affects their children's lives. Communication is the key in interracial families.
